The city of Covington, founded as the seat of Newton County in 1822 and incorporated as a city in 1854, carries a rich history. Covington is full of beautiful antebellum homes, and the city’s symbol, the Historic Courthouse built in 1844, proudly stands at its center. Full of character and southern charm, Covington offers a small-town feel filled with smiling faces. Just 30 miles East of Atlanta, Covington is convenient for commuters, yet far enough away from the noise to provide a quiet way of living. Known as the “Hollywood of the South,” Covington has appeared in numerous TV shows and movies over the last 50 years. Having grown up in this wonderful town, just a short 3 minute walk from the square, I’m excited to share with you the wonderful things Covington has to offer!
